Year of The Pitcher
In baseball people have talked about the year of the pitcher. Which just occurred last year in the 2009-2010 season. The pitchers last year were a big successes not a lot of batters were over .300 in average. The baseball season was full of no-hitters and perfect games. This is why the year of the pitcher is so cool. The games were very low scoring and few hits since the pitchers were so good last year. Last year the Cy Young award winner was Roy Halladay a big award for a pitcher. Next year I don't think it will be the same with all those perfect games and no hitters it will be like it usually is with pitchers and hitters and the same performance level.

Eagle Strike

Eagle Strike
How would you feel if you had big news and no one believed you? In the book Eagle Strike by Anthony Horowitz Alex Rider a 14 year old spy has a lead on a plot against Europe. He finds out the leader is a national celebrity Damian Cray no one believes Alex because MI6 (The British Intelligence service) believes he’s too nice. When Alex goes to investigate he finds the celebrity killing people and preparing his big operation Eagle strike. Now since no one believes him he will have to fight alone with no help. That is why you should treat people how you would like to be treated.
Alex is a tough kid he is strong, brave, loyal, kind, and the list goes on and on. That’s why everyone reads this book because they can have a relation between themselves and Alex. When he fights off the bad guys you think wow that would be cool if I was him. This is why people read this book to see what they could be doing next. I can relate to that myself it just seems really fun.
Although relating to the character is important knowing the plotline has the same importance. This book has a lot of humor tragedy and romance in it but there is only one plotline of the story and that is a comedy. First Alex starts in everyday life on a vacation. Then he finds that a very Damian Cray wants to destroy the world. That is the minor conflict. Then when he realizes that this guy is crazy and is really serious about this he realizes the danger. That is when the conflict is realized. Then he defeats him and goes back into everyday life. That is when the conflict is resolved. This is why this book is a comedy.
This book is a very good lesson learner. This book teaches us to treat each other as you would want to be treated. Eagle strike is an action packed book with lots of exciting things happening. This is why people like this book because you are always at the edge of your seat and waiting for what’s going to happen next.

My childhood memories
I have a lot of childhood memories but there is only a couple that will really stick with me forever. One day I hate to go to my cousins house because my parents were out of town. When I got there I always go straight to their awesome climbing tree it is so fun and I never get bored up there. That day we made a huge fort with curtains and food my cousins and I stayed up there all day until night. We were all mad when we had to go to bed. Then my awesome aunt said we could stay up there an hour longer. When we finally came inside we were so tired that when we hit the bed we fell a sleep. I will never forget that day. I remember this because I just didn't know that you could have so much fun in one day.
The next day we slept into 12 and started the day off with lunch we had so much fun the first day that we decided to keep working on our fort. When we thought we were all done and the fort was the best it could be some kids came over and tore it down from the tree we were all really mad. Then one of my cousins started chasing them and she ran them all the way home. Although it got torn down we were proud of our fort and would do it again any day.

Storm Breaker

Storm Breaker
How would you feel if you’re Mom, Dad, and a special uncle died? In the book Storm Breaker by Anthony Horowitz Alex Rider is a 14 year old kid who has never met his Mom and Dad and his uncle died just yesterday. He is very sad and is determined to find out the murder of his uncle. When he starts investigating he finds the MI6 the British spy agency and tries to talk them into finding his uncles killer. When they see who Alex Rider is they had to tell him that his Uncle was a spy there and was preparing Alex for this day so he would find the killer of his Uncle Ian. This is why you should always enjoy family and never push them away you might never see them again.
The purpose of the story is to enjoy your family when they are still around. You might never know if you will see them again. Like Alex I never got to see my grandpa he died before I was alive just like his parents. It’s a hard thing for you because you just wish you could have known them or see them for a day. This book also teaches you that when in a tough situation always believe in yourself.
The purpose of the story is very important but knowing the plotline is just as important. Since this story started in regular everyday life he is in control then there is a minor conflict which is when his uncle died then when the conflict is realized he goes after his uncle’s killer. When he figures out whom it is he puts him in jail and goes back into everyday life. This is why this story is a comedy.
This book is filled with tons of action packed fun and excitement it never stops but it can also teach us lessons along the way. The biggest lesson was enjoy your family now because you might not see them later.

Point Blac
Drew Barth
Point Blanc
How would you feel if you were lied to so bad that it almost coasted you your life? In the book Point Blac by Anthony Horowitz Alex Rider had to go through another mission that he never wanted to do and was promised he would never do a mission again. That all changed when several rich fathers were murdered. They all had one thing in commend that was there sons and daughters went to a very expensive private school. They think the lead killer was the principal of the school Dr. Hugo Grief. There is only one person who can stop Dr. Hugo Grief and that is Alex Rider he will pretend to be a school boy there and stop Hugo Greif and save the word from his master plan. The main lesson in this story is the golden rule treat people how you would like to be treated.
Although this story was very sad it is still considered a comedy plotline. First the character Alex Rider is in everyday life. He was on a vacation and everything was well. Then when MI6 called in there was a minor conflict because he hates being a spy. He has no other choice and has to do the mission he figures out Hugo Grief is really crazy about cloning himself and realizes that this was MI6 that made him do this that is when the conflict is realized. When he defeats Dr. Hugo Grief he goes back into his normal life without MI6 the British spy service. All of this results that this book was a comedy.
Even though the plotline if the story is important knowing and relating to the character is good thing to. The main character Alex Rider is really cool he sees everything in a different way. I think that same way and can really relate to him. Like when he goes on missions I wish I could be right by his side. Everyone can relate to that when you read this book. Another reason I like Alex Rider is his effort in his spying I give a lot of effort in my homework and my sports. It’s just something that describes you in a good way and we share that trait.
The book Point Blac teaches you that you should never lie to anyone even if you don’t mean it this story teaches that rule a lot. This is a story that gets you on your feet and makes you want to do exactly what Alex Rider is doing. This story is a never stop action packed book but can also teach you life morels like the golden rule. This makes you a better person in the end.
