The ending of the book was a little weird it was to deep. Like when the baby gets shot that should not have happened it was a little weird. The lesson of this story is that you never should take something over someone. Expressly if it's you're son or daughter. Even if he didn’t shot his baby I think the family would have had a bad out come so that is why they should have thrown the pearl away the moment they figured out it was evil. In the end I feel really sorry for Coyotito he was in the line of fire and he got shot even though he did nothing. This is why you should never give up someone for some thing.
If Kino would have never found the Pearl every thing would be alright and they would be a normal family and he would still be a fisherman and none of this non-sense would have come true. In the beginning of the book it was good with all the excitement going around and the great pearl spreading around the book was fun. It should have been that up tempo the whole book.
In the middle of the book the story got super boring fast this was the only bad thing in this book. If he would have ran into trouble quicker the story would have been great. Other than that it was a pretty good story.
